Taraxacum 88 S1: elegant and sophisticated! Taraxacum, the pendant lamp designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in 1960 was a revolutionary chandelier, over the top, totally original. It was characterized by a painted white steel frame on which was subsequently sprayed the cocoon resin of the diffuser ensuring scenic effect and soft diffused light. A little less than thirty years after Achille Castiglioni has put his hand to the project of Taraxacum and has created an alternative (even three, since it is also available in ceiling and wall versions): Taraxacum 88. Perhaps even more original, but definitely bolder thanks to the many bulbs that serve the lamp to stage its explosion of light. Taraxacum S - available in two "sizes", 60 or 120 bulbs - is a pendant lamp composed of a pattern of polished aluminum triangles fully "covered" by transparent bulbs. They provide plenty of light that is reflected also on the structure. In the ceiling and wall versions there are far fewer light bulbs but the effect is still a strong impact.
