A new expression of the creative and functional possibilities of composite materials, already used for products that have become true icons for Foscarini, like Mite lamp. The result of two years of research and development, realized with an exclusive process, the family of products Tress - which includes floor, table and suspension version, is a twine of threads and resin that creates a trick of full and empty spaces, lights and shadows never seen before. Designed by Marc Sadler in 2009, Tresse's personality changes depending on the color: light and discrete in white, strong and decisive in black, volcanic and totemic in the red version, where the contrast between the inside and the outside is even more evident. The suspension lamps, available in different sizes, have a specific function each : the larger version, in fact, is characterized by a more diffused light. The medium and small ones, on the other hand, are designed to illuminate a specific area of the underlying space. Therefore they can be used individually to enhance a dark corner or another space of a room, or in line to create perspective effects.
