Artemide Boalum: be original! Designed by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini in 1970, Artemide Boalum is an atypical lamp usable in different ways, with the possibility of creating multiple arrangements, characterized by sinuous play of light. This lamp is made out of reinforced flexible white plastic, with ends in resin. The small torpedo lamp bulbs are connected to each other and separated by an isolating sphere. Boalum is available in floor, wall or table versions, and it can be connected sequentially to 4 Boalum maximum in order to set up a lenght of about 8 metres, which can be rolled as desired. It can be admired into the Musée des Arts Dècoratifs de Montréal and into the Museo Permanente of Italian Design 1945 – 1990 – Triennale of Milano. An unusual and original object, that certainly doesn’t go completely unnoticed.
